Donations in Memory of Grampie!

Unfortunately, Casey's grandfather, Grampie (Bill Kelley), passed away on May 26, 2020.  Grampie was a huge supporter of The Casey-Girl Foundation and frequently and proudly wore his Casey-Girl Foundation t-shirt. To date, over $15,000 has been generously donated to our foundation this year in memory of Casey.  Grampie would be incredibly appreciative to know so many people made donations to a cause that was so important to him.

Donations in Memory of Mammy!

Our family lost Casey’s grandmother, Mammy (Barbara Walsh), on January 31, 2020. Mammy was one of Casey’s biggest fans and the #1 supporter of The Casey-Girl Foundation. Mammy made donations to our foundation ever year since the foundation’s inception in 2003. Our family sincerely thanks everyone who so generously made donations to pay such a wonderful and fitting tribute to Mammy. Mammy dedicated her life to seeking out and helping those in need and set such a wonderful example by always prioritizing the needs of others. There is no doubt that Mammy is reunited with Casey-Girl and watching over her.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping us to remember Casey! Since the inception of Casey's Foundation in July of 2003, we have donated a total of $104,000 to the our designated charities. Five years ago when we decided to start this foundation, never in our wildest imagination could we have envisioned raising such a significant amount of money for such worthy causes. Thank you to everyone who has helped support Casey's Foundation in any way over the past 5 years.

Designated Charities

The Casey-Girl Foundation, Inc. raises money for two worthy causes: The Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Dr. Joseph Madsen Research Fund through Children's Hospital Boston. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Make-A-Wish Foundation strives to provide a meaningful and carefree experience for the child and lasting, positive memories for the entire family. The Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfills wishes with the hope of offering a welcome respite and just plain fun. Dr. Madsen's Research Fund through Children's Hospital Boston seeks to discover new ways to diagnose and treat neurological complications, including hydrocephalus, that impact the lives of children. This research project hopes to inspire a new generation of the best and brightest medical professionals to work on these critical issues. It is the hope of our family and everyone involved with The Casey-Girl Foundation that we will live long enough to see significant advancements in the treatment of these neurological disorders so that families much us like our family can see their children live a long and healthy life.
